Latest News / On Line Tutorials with SKYPE
« on: May 25, 2013, 10:20:46 AM »
As a number of people have now signed up to beta test the programs we thought it might be useful to offer some on line tutorials using SKYPE so that if you have any problems or want help using the programs 'hands on' we can do just that.

Obviously all our time is limited and there are now people all over the world using the EP Toolkit so there would need to be some fairly serious timetabling  :D

If you think this might be useful can you please let us know what you think in the poll above.

NB In the meantime, if you want to take pot luck we're happy to take some test calls if we're on line - search for SKYPE name: EPtoolkit

We have just updated RELATER so it now outputs results  of the assessment to a popup window so you can copy it into a wordprocessor or spreadsheet for editing/interpreting.

CORA / What can CORA do for me?
« on: May 22, 2013, 07:10:22 PM »

We are working hard on CORA (Classroom Observation Recording App) that makes it easy to record and analyse your observations - click here for a video demonstration.

You can use CORA online or offline on just about any computer, tablet, phone or browser.

CORA makes it easy to record your classroom observations in a structured way, then automatically analyse and export them to a worprocessor or spreadsheet.

No more scribbly old notes you can't find or read when you come to do your writing up!!

HELP - BETA TESTERS NEEDED!
The program is still under construction and we only have a limited range of observational categories and decriptions in there. We'd really like feedback to help us develop the format and content so that it will best meet your needs.

WHY SHOULD I BETA TEST?
As well as getting to use the program before anyone else, beta testers also get access to a private forum board where they can get help, share ideas and shape the program so it does what they want!

WHAT COMPUTER EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
  • a Microsoft Windows or Apple Desktop or Laptop or Netbook
  • an Apple or Android Tablet or Smartphone

HOW DO I TAKE PART?
If you'd like to take part in beta testing please use our contact form .

RELATER / What's it all about?
« on: May 22, 2013, 06:59:57 PM »

RELATER is a new on line tool being developed to help explore childrens' interpersonal relationships.

It was inspired by some of the ideas behind the original Bene Anthony test, but with:
  • a much more modern slant using a fun 3d interactive web program
  • options to explore relationships in and/or outside of the family
  • responses which aren't designed around a psychodynamic model
  • the opportunity to explore a wide range of parenting styles
  • an automated summary of the child's responses which can easily be transferred to a spreadsheet of wordprocessor for further interpretation and analysis

RELATER is not a standardised test but an exploratory tool, and we hope that. as it develops, it will offer useful insights into a child's attachment and interactions with the people they know best.

It's intended to be completed with adult supervision, but the instructions are simple and clear and are both written and spoken so that only a 'light touch' should be needed by the adult.

HELP - BETA TESTERS NEEDED!
As this program is still under construction  we'd really like feedback to help us develop the format and content so that it will best meet the needs of professionals working with children.

WHY SHOULD I BETA TEST?
As well as getting to use the program before anyone else, beta testers also get access to a private forum board where they can get help, share ideas and shape the program so it does what they want!

WHAT COMPUTER EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
A Microsoft Windows or Apple Desktop or Laptop or Netbook connected to the Internet (a smartphone/tablet version is not available at this stage).

The program uses the UNITY plugin which downloads automatically the first time you use it.

HOW DO I TAKE PART?
If you'd like to take part in beta testing please use our contact form .
As a beta tester, not only do you get to use the program, but you can also give us detailed feedback via the forum and on line questionnaires so we can shape the program to do what you want it to!

« on: October 19, 2012, 06:05:33 PM »
Welcome to the EP Toolkit forum especially all the members from EPNET who have kindly agreed to join the forum and take part in the beta testing program.

If you want to share ideas with others or have any constructive suggestions about our site or any on line resources you'd like us to develop please let us know!

We have many years experience in designing on line reporting, recording, assessment and virtual worlds so why not let us help you put your ideas into action!

Most of the forum posts can be read by visitors (apart from those in the private boards for beta testers), but if you would like to post any comments yourself you will need to register using the link at the top of the forum screen.

To reduce the dreaded spam, your registration needs to be approved by admin before you can post, but this is usually carried out within 48 hours and often less, to give us a chance to check that a request is legitimate.

Please don't let this put you off from joining  ;D

SENstore LIVE / SENstore LIVE
« on: October 18, 2012, 03:50:39 PM »
SENstore LIVE is a report writing tool for teachers and Educational Psychologists who work with children who have Additional Learning Needs.

It has been designed so it can be accessed via a web browser using  just about any computer, tablet or smartphone. No need for messy installations programs and you get the latest version every day!

It can save you lots of precious time, as it really streamlines report writing!

We've also added a range of new report comments, and you can easily edit these or add your own - just type them in once and they're easily accessible for all future reports - no more "re-inventing the wheel" for every report!

It's also easier to enter and report on Standardised Test Scores - we have built in sample comments for commonly used tests + you can add your own.

You can also use it with just about any wordprocessor, as you simply copy and paste the whole report from a web page or just the sections you want.

We've included a time saving Auto Fill (Magic Link) feature which (if selected) will automatically suggest comments you may wish to use to address a pupil difficulty you have selected.

The program is accessed via a password protected forum page. That means that you only need one username and password to access the program and also get help, give feedback and share ideas with other users.

The legal stuff please read! / Data Security please read!
« on: October 18, 2012, 10:39:59 AM »
Do not save any data from SENstore Live to the program database which could allow other people to identify the pupil who is the subject of your report.

If you choose to save report data from SENstore Live via the program, please insert a code name (e.g. ZX1) in the pupil name field box after you have created your report but just before you save the data.

Don't forget to keep a record of the real name/code name so you know which data belongs to whom!

When copying and pasting data from any of the EP Toolkit programs it is the user's responsibility to ensure that this data is stored securely.
